I don't know why I put that as the subject, but I did.

I have discovered the coolest show in the entire world: Aqua Teen Hunger Force. There are three main characters that are all awesome in their own way. Fry is the omniscient, father figure type. Shake is just flat out hilarious, he messes with his neighbor all the time. Finally, MeatWad is the absolute best character created. He is a little gangsta meatball whose one liners are beyond comedy, they are pure genius. On the real, I was hating on this show last year, but that was because I never really watched it; but, this show is awesome.

Let's see, what else is there?

I had my first radio show this past Saturday. It went pretty well, I just need to expand my vocabulary for the word "song." I usually just say joint but that needs to be rethought (one of my listeners gave me that idea). I played mostly rap, threw song old school tracks on. This up-coming week I am going to play some Celia Cruz and Elvis Crespo, just some all time favorites with latin music. After that, I'll play random songs. Wish me luck. Tony will not join me until the 26th. He has hockey and keeps coming with these whack excuses, but whatever. Tony's DJ name is DJ Big Tone and his alter ego is DJ Honkey. I am DJ Dos Veces aka DJ Tickets. We're going put it down, for real.

The next night sucked for me. I had to write two poli-sci papers to write. It finished to be about 18 pages total. The first paper was comparative politics, which I think I wrote pretty well (with the aid of Tone and Aaron). After that I wrote a government paper. It took me a while to get that started but around 5:00 AM, some muse must have tickled my inspiration and I knocked out 3 pages in an hour and then proceeded to finish the paper around 7:00 AM. Needless to say, I did not go to sleep that night. So I probably got an A/A- on the Comp. Politics paper and a B+/B on the Gov't paper.

My week has been pretty uneventful thus far. I have a test tomorrow, I studied a bit, So I'ma do my thing.

I have a sleeping disorder, I am sure of it.
And since I had this problem why not write in my live journal. I haven't for a while and don't feel like reading. This is going to be long because I am not going to bed tonight so whatever.

Well, I would be remiss if I did not talk about the fashion show that went down last Friday night. A lot of people from home did not know I am in is so I'll tell you about it.

The fashion show was ran by the Black Student Union (BSU)and was held in the Hogan Ballroom. All in all, I would say everything went pretty well (with the exception of some flaws which will be left unsaid because I don't want to put anyone on blast). The show was broken down into three main parts: modeling, dancing and performances (in no particular order). I was part of four modeling scenes and they are as follow: Paradise, Career, Formal and Urban.

I had a partner in each scene, minus the Urban scene. In the Paradise scene my partner, Amy, wore a white dress with some pink accessories so to match I rocked white pants with some sandals, a pink button up with a beater underneath and Amy's pink-tainted shades (on head not over eyes). Our little routine was basically a turn in the middle, her looking me up and down, while I did the same, and leaving me at the end of the stage basically frozen and then finished with a turn in the middle.
She was cool peoples to work with, even though we rarely got it right, except for the night of the show. It was tight.

In the career scene my partner Gideon donned a black suit with a burgundy dress shirt flapped open with no tie while I was in a Black suit, white dress shirt and a red and black tie. Our routine was kind of ill if I may say so. We walk out to the middle and I would make sure he was looking fresh, i.e. fix his collar and jacket, while he fixed himself and then we proceed to the end. He would then fix me up while I adjusted the tie and whatever and then we gave quick nod and wink to the crowd. Finally, our last little display was us going to fix each other but then realizing that we were looking damn good and then making a funny expression to the crowd. I liked this one a lot.

In the formal scene, I escorted Blanca who wore a black and white formal gown. It was kind of like a prom scene, in turn, I wore a tuxedo with a blue vest (a 3 button notch for yall who know their ish). We did a basic turn in the middle and then proceeded to the end of the stage. At the end we posed like we were taking a picture before prom and then turned and went to the middle. In the middle I took her hand and kissed it in a gentleman fashion, because from what I heard that's what gentlemen do. Who knew? She was a chill ass partner.

Finally in the urban scene I was rocking some fly ass gear. I had my favorite pair of jeans on, a black tee from adidas, a green jacket with black lining from adidas and some fresh adidas kicks. See a theme? I loved this outfit, it was tight. In the walk, I went to the middle, kind of just looked around and then went to the end. There, I brushed my shoulder off, because thats what we do right Nuge? Fo Sho. My final turn I basically threw up the peace sign with a twist and that was it.

All the dances were so tight in the show. They worked their asses off and it looked real good. I am about to dance in the next one because for real, that shit was ill.

Let me tell you, every single one of the ladies in the show were looking absolutely gorgeous that night, a few in particular who will remain nameless. But for real, the girls did their thing that night. And, so did the fellas, I am not trying to take anything away from them. But, cot damn, the ladies were looking fine.
Again, a few in particular were looking, well... you get the point.

After the show, I chilled with some of my boys played some cards for a bit and then went to Tamaras room for a little pre-gaming. I was already a bit buzzed so when Michael was like "yo drink this shit[three shot]!" I was all for it. We then proceeded to the after party in Hogan and it was pretty good. Got a little dancing in while some gangstas were posted up on the wall, but brush them off. Some of the ladies up at the party were looking good too.

Ya know, its real weird because from day to day, not many girls here catch my eye but that night, everywehre I looked was grand.

    I think that is it.

Well, hope yall enjoyed this anecdote because now I only have 2 hours until the gym, 3 hrs until breakfast and 4 hours until class.

Ok but seriously...I got back from break about a week ago, it went by quickly. I went to Disney World and it was awesome. I have some sweet pics, especially the one where Buzz Lightyear is touching my behind. Yea, I know ladies...Jealous (you too tony). Florida was perfect. 80 degrees, sunny, not too much humidity...perfect. It was a good time too just chillin with my family, esp my lil sis, even though she is a dork, but then again so am I. IT was fun too hanging out with my mom and dad, i miss them up at school so this was time well spent. Ed was Ed so I obviously enjoyed his entertainment and Michelle came too, she was very tolerant of us, playing silent goofy and all. Ed better wife her up, she is madd chill.

Classes are underway and I like them all a whole lot. Principles of American Gov't, Comparative Politics, Literary Genres (in spanish) and Adv. Comp and Con - Spanish. I also was promoted within SGA as Transportation Manager, yea bitches. So this semester will be alot of work but should be rewarding.

Enough for now, i need sleep.

    Peace yall

    Pedro Signs...Good or Bad?
    Comments, Ideas for future entries.

Coming from Commie and Blaise, respectively, I was asked to address to imminent Pedro signing to Queens. Now, I know many Red Sock fans are secretly thanking Wilpon for this signing due to Pedro's declining numbers in recent years. A major concern with the status of his shoulder, will it last? So while most Sock fans are "reluctantly" seeing Pedro off, many Met fans are open-armed readily accepting Pedro. I like to think of myself as a man who has a decent level of insight on the game of baseball so now I will give my thoughts.

Injuries have plagued Queens for the last five years, most notably Mo Vaungh, Scott Strickland and Mike Piazza's on and off ailments. Apprehension is filling my mind while blind hope is occupying my heart. I have seen my Mets underachieve for the last decade, aside from the 2000 season, and strongly feel if they make one more bold move they can be instant contenders in the NL East; and with Coach Willie Randolph's tutelage, it seems that success is near.

I truly believe that Pedro will initially pitch well for the Mets due to two main reasons. First and foremost, his ego will not allow him to fail. Damn near every reporter and sports analyst doubt Pedro's abilities and his current health, so that alone will put a [relatively small] chip on his shoulder. Secondly, limited pitches will benefit Pedro. The Mets are not as stupid as many perceive and with the new coaching staff will prove this to be true. Coach Randoplh has seen Pedro perform late in games, most notably the "Daddy" game and the root of Grady Little's termination, and is cognizant of how to use Pedro. He knows Pedro is good for at least five good innings each night, six is more so expected, seven on occasions. He will RARELY pitch over the seventh inning. The only way for this to happen is an ideal pitch count, the right batting line-up due up the next inning and the situation of the game(perfect game or no-hitter in progress). Along with the idea of pitch count, Pedro will be facing a nine spot where opposing pitchers dig in to bat, not a scrappy second basemen or short-stop who can battle him taking precious pitches from his arm. That alone can save him fifteen pitches a game. His ERA against NL teams in inter-league play does not indicate this, but I think once he gets his feel for the national league back, he played in Montreal in their stellar '95 strike-shortened season, he will be fine.

Overall, I feel this signing will benefit the Mets immediately and help them contend but I fear that the last year and half of his four year contract will be a bit rocky due to age and tiring. I could be wrong about any of this. He can come in and pitch marvelously for four years and prove all the critics wrong but, he can also pitch poorly, or even worse get hurt like every other recent Met signing and not pitch at all.

In order for Pedro to consistently perform well, three things need to happen. Firstly, the Mets need to provide a solid four runs a game for when he pitches. I think that Pedro is capable of and 3.50 ERA if handled correctly. Secondly, Kaz Matsui needs to make plays! He is absolutely the worst defensive baseball player I have ever seen. Talk about bad signings, he needs to hop back on a plane and forfeit his contract. But, that's another matter. I don't want to single out Kaz, even though I just did, but the team as a whole was borderline dreadful last year defensively. Finally, the head hanchos (sic) need to make some bold, bold moves, i.e. package Piazza and Zambrano, or Floyd and Piazza or just Piazza. Piazza will lure in many AL teams due to Mike's proficiency with the lumber. The Mets have the money and the players to make deals, they just need to make well-thought out deals; unlike the current ESPN baseball consultant Steve f--king Phillips who made every sh-tty move under the UV-C emitting sun. Get good pitching, mainly middle relief and one starter, and one more bat. The Mets have a solid three for their rotation, Glavine, Benson and Pedro, with Steve Trachsal as a nice fourth starter and as a crappy fifth starter, Victor Zambrano <----Get rid of him!! The Mets have a good, young bullpen but will need an effective workhorse in there. Basically, minor things need to be tweaked.

    To summarize:
Limit Pedro, play defense, hit the ball and make some moves.

So you can guess how my day went today. All I really did was complete the Airport Shuttle schedule. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, unless I am forgetting something, but I doubt it. So I'll be at SGA tomorrow only for about 3 hours tomorrow, instead of the combined 10 hrs in the last two days. I like it though, no complaints at all.

Yo this girl is mad hot.

Ok, since I really don't have anything clever to write i will put my top six favorites songs as of right now. ( I ripped this from Mo )

    6) Lloyd Banks - Southside Story
    5) 50 Cent - How To Rob
    4) LiL Wayne - Go DJ
    3) Joe Budden - Focus
    2) Game - Westside Story
    1) Nas- Get Down

    - If you are aware, these are mainly older songs.

Well, that's it for tonight. Sorry yall.

    Peace

    Rap Quote of the Day

Some died, One guy, One time
One day grabs me, As I'm about to blast heat
40-side of Vernon, I turned well he asked me
"Whatchu up to, the cops gon' bust you"
I was a teen drunk off brew, Stumbled I wondered
If God sent him, Cause two squad cars entered the block
And looked at us, I ain't flinch when they watched
I took it upstairs, The bathroom mirror, Brushed my hair
Starin at a young disciple, I almost gave my life to what the dice do
    Yeah man, Throwin them bones

Jets Lose, but I didn't see it. I hate New England Television
I've been looking forward to the Jets vs Steelers game for the whole week. The Pats were playing at 1pm and the Jets at 4, so Iwas like 'YES!! they are gonna show it on TV' But did they? No!! Because I live in the third level of hades where only pretentious kids live. They are so self-promoting that after the Pats game, they show "Patriots 5th Quarter" How gay is that? That is why we have Sportscenter ninjas! The Jets lost, as I epxected but I would have preferred to see it!
F*ck the Pats and F*ck New England TV broadcasting.

I am really worried about my roommate Tony, he hasnt been here for the whole day and its the only thing on my mi...Is that a cookie?? Sweet!

So i had my meeting with Sarah Today, it went well, little long but it looks like the Czar of all that is Airport Shuttle has everything under control.

Kyle likes to dance in his computer chair when he wins pots and frankly, it scares me! But today he did something quite funny...I was listening to Nelly's "Na-Nana-Na" and Nelly was sayin, "Can we leave herre, can we leave herre? Shorty can we leave herre" and Kyle responded with "yea nelly" Now i can interpret this in two ways. The first being, that Kyle is Nelly's shorty or he was making a funny, I will go with the former. HaHa

I havent seen Rob all day, he is probably stomping on midgets in Hogan, he doesn't like midgets.

Well that is all for today. I gotta go, i got a thing. (can anyone name the movie)

    First Day of Finals
Hmmmmmm yea, so I had two finals today...I merked the Music one, Chem ehhh not so much. Studied wrong material I guess you could say, but it's whatever. One more final to go on Thursday: American Religious History. Yea, exactly what I'm thinking.

Got meeting with Sarah tomorrow for Airport Shuttles, I'm pretty confident I put it together well. We'll just see how she thinks I did; she is the head hancho(sic) of SGA Services, so she can fire me. she is madd chill.

I made my music teacher some mix tapes, she wants to listen to some rap. So i threw a whole bunch of different styles (south, nyc westcoast midwest) lil of everything. I also made her an all Nas mix and Mos Def's Black on Both Sides and two Kweli CDs. We'll see how this works out.

Jets vs Steelers without John Abraham...hmmmmmm

I have two exams tomorrow. I am prepared for my music one, or so I think. I don't know secondary dominants but who really cares. I will be fine for that one. I also have a chem final at 2:30 tomorrow. I will need to study for that, by study I mean not because I procrastinate like whoa.

    Ima keep this terse.
